Heyo!! HYPE WEEK :)
HIGHLIGHTS:
> Ice cream *on a cone* for breakfast this morning :)
> Last Monday we got to see our little Karen Grandma IN PERSON!! We brought them some rice and when we got there a man was outside and when he saw us he got the biggest smile and in Karen kept saying like "Come in come in! Grandma wants to see you!" Welllll right now we aren't allowed to go into houses so we were having such a hard time deciding to be obedient or to go in and see our Grandma!! But we stayed strong and tried to explain in Karen that we couldn't go in because of the virus and he just kept saying "Oh there's no virus here come in come in!" Haha soooooo hard! We wanted to go in so badly!! But then we asked if he could have her come out and we could talk outside and he finally agreed to that and we got to see our Grandma!! It was a very joyful moment! And we stayed obedient!
> This week we set some goals to find more new people to teach and bring members to lessons more and we really worked hard and achieved our goals this week! God's hand was definitely in the work! 30 lessons, 2 new friends and 6 members to lessons!

> We call this one THE ICE CREAM MIRACLE: CRAVING OR PROMPTING?
OK so earlier this week I was reeeeeeeally craving ice cream *on a cone* and so we went to Walgreens and found some ice cream but we couldn't find cones anywhere! We were literally there for probably an extra 5 minutes trying to find cones and couldn't! #sad BUT as we were looking someone came up behind us and recognized our Karen clothes and said "Thra mu" which is Karen for like girl teachers which is what people call us so anyway we recognized that and turned around and it was a Karen guy! He was so happy that we could speak in his language and we chatted and then got his Facebook and are hoping to call him soon! Prompting for sure ;) And don't worry we went and got cones today :)))
> OK second awesome story from the week! We called our friend Dah Wah and a member Ta Blah and at first Dah Wah didn't answer but then he did! And normally he doesn't turn his camera on but he turned it on and was slyly showing us that he had a friend with him! So naturally we get all excited and ask who that is and he told us so happily that it was his "best friend" and that he would be down to read with us today! We were so excited! Then we looked at the story we are on and it was chapter 52 in the Picture Book of Mormon... This is the story where all.. Literally all of the Jaredites die... And this is our first lesson with this kid lol but he actually had some good things to say about it and we talked about some solid principles! Anyway we invited them to read the next chapter together that night!...THEN we called them the next morning for a lesson (hehe yes literally less then 12 hours later) AND! They finished the last TWO chapters of the Book of Mormon! They just kept reading! And they both shared what they liked about it and it was just awesome! We asked if he would want to learn about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon next time we talk and start the Book of Mormon and he said yes! THEN we just heard Dah Wah talking and so we listened and for the next like 5 minutes we are just listening as Dah Wah explains the story of Joseph Smith and THEN goes through and explains Nephi's story and Alma and Jesus coming and some of his favorite stories from the Book of Mormon! It was AMAZING! #proudmoment
I just want to finish with something I've been thinking about this week: There is power in remembering! On Monday I got to call my family and we talked about a talk I had read the other week with a story that my parents used to read to me when I was younger and my mom asked if I wanted her to read it to me and of course I said yes! So she read it and we all started to cry! And then we read a couple others that were our favorites and the tears were just streaming! There is something so special and powerful about going back to our roots and remembering those moments from days gone by that have had such a huge impact on who we are today! And it helps us see how much has changed and we have grown since that time and it is just really special! In another way on the same vein, earlier this week we were talking to some elders and they asked what we were doing on this day 6 months ago... So we looked back in our journals and it was really neat to look back and think about those moments and learn from the retrospective! Time is an interesting part of our life here on earth and I think it is one of the keys to how we learn and looking back can sometimes give us some added perspective to move forward! So what were you doing 6 months ago today?
Well I love you all! I hope you get an opportunity to eat ice cream on a cone and see the miracles that God is working in your life! Remember your worth and God's plan for you! Talk to you soon!
