Hello!
I hope you are all doing well! I would love to hear how you are doing and how you have seen God's hand in your life this week!
It has been a crazy and great week here in St. Paul!
Some highlights:
-I had what I think may be my favorite meal on my mission so far and it was pho! It was sooooo good!
-We got to go to a bahywah! I don't really know how to describe them but it is like a celebration and they share a spiritual thought, pray, sing and EAT! Haha something that I've heard a lot in the past week is "aw ah ah" which means, "eat a lot!" They show their love and joy through food and boy have we eaten!
We have had some really awesome lessons this week! Something that I have noticed is that... I don't know what's going on most of the time haha BUT I've also noticed that because I want to know what's going on so badly, I listen harder and more intently and more sincerely to both the people, but also to the Spirit! We had a lesson this last week where I really didn't understand what was going on but I was somewhat following and got the strongest prompting that we needed to help her recognize that the Spirit was there but I didn't know how to say it in Karen so I told my companion and she said it and as she testified, she started crying and so did I and our other companion and so did the person we were teaching! It was such a tender moment that I don't think I will ever forget! I know that the language of the Spirit is UNIVERSAL! There are no limits to who the Spirit can reach and how it can communicate across our language barriers!
Another thing I have learned this week is that this life is hard! But that we shouldn't make it more hard by turning our backs to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! Return to them and they will hold you and guide you! We had Zone Conference this week with some really awesome trainings and one of them was really interesting because it was about addictions and how they are like chains that bind you. Many people see God's commandments as restrictions but really, they are what can provide us with the most freedom! God is the master doctor. He gives us the preventative measures to follow so that we won't have to deal with the pain of sin! And then, when we don't follow those measures, He is merciful and has also provided the cure! He just asks that we come unto Him to receive that direction and help! We were all challenged to stop a bad habit and replace it with a good one and I challenge you all to do the same! Try to live a life more dedicated to God and let Him prescribe the perfect medicine for you!

(I love this gospel! I love these people! I love you all and I know that God loves us!)
Have a great week!
