Magnolia Market and Waco, TX Day 1
10.11.2019

Got up early this morning at 4am so Jamie
and I could catch our flight at 7:30am. It was a good day traveling and we made it to
Waco by late afternoon. The 2nd picture is a very typical house here in Waco. The sign says, "Coming soon: Jesus. Are you ready?" We saw lots of signs like this one, but this one was the first. This is a very religious area and there are churches everywhere! There was a lot of construction and it had just rained all day and so there was a lot of water on the roads and big puddles. We kept going in circles to get to our hotel-- we could see it but couldn't get to it! I wanted Jamie to drive over a field and over a curb to get there, but she was worried we'd get stuck in the ditch... which may have been full of water and mud that we might've gotten stuck in...yes! She was the voice of reason... I was just tired and wanted to get to our hotel and unpack and rest for a bit. We laughed like crazy because in my normal state of mind I would have NEVER done something like that! We had so much fun!! We’ve literally been laughing THE.
WHOLE.TIME!! We unloaded our stuff and headed over to the Silos and Magnolia
Market... everything was already closed but we took a bunch of pictures and
staked everything out for the next day. It worked out well, because nobody was in our pictures! Then we went for dinner and had the
BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life! It was so good!! Jamie and I came
back to the hotel and talked until really late!!
