Regional Meetings Day 3 and a BEAUTIFUL Run in the Desert, a Pool Day, the Edward Jones Award's Banquet and CARDS!!

6.15.2019

Saturday was a super fun day!  I went on the most gorgeous run EVER and it was really cool that morning!  It went on a dirt path through the desert and was shaded with Palo Verdes and other dessert brush!  It was so beautiful out that morning and in the low 70’s!  Crazy for this time of year!  We went to the EJ breakfast around 9:30—Bill was already at his meetings.  Then around 10:30 we headed over to the pool and spent the morning and afternoon there.  Katelyn made friends with Julia and Adalay Bates-- a couple of Jones kids.  She played games with them and they LOVED her!!  It's her inner lifeguard/swim lesson instructor coming out! Bill got out of his meetings at noon and came down to the pool.  We ordered some yummy food and smoothies and ate poolside!  We enjoyed playing in the water with the volleyball and football we brought.  Todd and the girls enjoyed going down the slide too!  It’s such a beautiful resort with a river and lake surrounding the whole property!  I could stay another week at this place!  J  We came back to the hotel and Bill and I got cleaned up for the Awards Banquet that night.  Brooke helped me do my make-up!  That was fun!  I like how she did it!  Bill gave Todd money and they went out and got their own dinner.  The banquet was so nice—we sat with Brian and Lori Derrick and Daniel and Katherine Machado, a brand new FA and his wife.  Bill got top producer for the region again and we were congratulated by Joseph Crockett—the Regional Leader.  He has been trying to beat Bill every year since we’ve been in the same region (which I guess is the last 7 years, apparently!).  He reminded us that this is the 7th year in a row that Bill has gotten that award.  I had not realized this.  I always come away from this banquet with such a feeling of gratitude to be working for such a great company and for such good employment!  I am so grateful that we found such a good company for Bill to spend his whole working life working for!  That’s rare these days that someone works for the same company!  What a blessing to be involved in my small way!  For the first year ever, we had a great walk up song!  Imagine Dragons “On Top of the World”!  We came back to the hotel late because we talked to so many people afterward.  We played Shanghai Rummy and then went to bed.  I think Todd won!

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
