Regional Meetings Day 1 @ The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix!

6.13.2019

All the girls and I left to go get pedicures at 11:30 this morning!  I thought it would be fun to do that while Bill and Todd left early around 5am for Regional Mtgs. to play in the golf game.  (Their team came in 2nd place—missed 1st place by 1 stoke!!!)  The girls and I really enjoyed our time together.  We were all packed up so we headed for lunch at Kneaders after our pedicures.  We had a nice lunch and visit together.  Then we went straight out to Regionals which was out by the south 202 and I-10 at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass—a gorgeous resort out in the desert with beautiful grounds!  This resort is probably one of the nicest we’ve ever stayed at for Regional Mtgs.!! As I walked into our suite, there were balloons everywhere and signs saying “Happy 50th Birthday”.  I was confused at first because my birthday isn’t until July, but Bill and the girls wanted to celebrate it now, before Brooke leaves on her mission, and while everyone is here together.   Every balloon had a sweet message inside of it written by Bill and the girls.  Bill and Todd had filled all the balloons and set everything up in the room for me!  Brooke stayed right by me as I opened most of the balloons.  (I left some for the next day.)  I also got a beautiful smart watch from Bill from Fossil that I had admired while with Brooke last month at the Mall and an audio tape of Elder Uchtdorf, “The Gospel at 30,00 Feet”.  I will enjoy listening to that!  That was a sweet demonstration of love from my family!!  J  Bill and I left for our meeting and then came back to the room and got everyone for dinner.  It was a yummy dinner and there were carnival games that we had fun playing together.  A magician came as well. There was a fun gyro-ball that Todd and Katelyn rode together-- no thanks!  (Especially not right after dinner!)  There were balloon artists and caricature artists there as well... the evidence is below!  Hahahaha!  As part of my birthday, Bill got us all a hot air balloon ride and we needed to get up the next morning at 3:30am so everyone went to bed early tonight…

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
