Our Last Full Day in this Beautiful Land!
7.14.2017

Today we relaxed at the hotel. Meg and I got up at 7:30 and went running and then we all had breakfast together. The hotel had bikes you could check out, so we all rode bikes around the miles and miles of trails/golf course together. (Same area where Meg and I ran.) We also went on the lake/pond in a boat while we waited for our bikes to be ready. This afternoon we got to go on a "Hawk Walk" where we were able to meet and feed "Bomber" the Hawk-- a very fitting name for him! The guide put some meat on our glove, then we held it up and Bomber swooped down out of nowhere to land on our hand and eat! He was so cute and SMART! They have such a huge wing span and are such beautiful birds. As he flew toward you, he flew down close to the ground and waited until the last minute to lift up onto you hand, so it was very intimidating as you thought he was going to fly right into you! We also got to see several kinds of owls and falcons and learn about them, as well. we played another game of Shanghai Rummy-- I WON this time! Had a quick nap and we got ready for the final farewell dinner with Edward Jones. It was nice-- very fancy and beautiful decorations, but the food wasn't that great. We are back in our room packing and getting ready for bed. It has been a fabulous trip! We've all fallen in love with Ireland, it's people and the gorgeous countryside! The Irish are such gracious, welcoming, happy and witty people! We have all enjoyed interacting with them every day and we LOVE their cute accent! We have had such a great time with the girls too! I can't believe we have to go home tomorrow!
