Off To Ireland!

We started our journey today to Ireland as a family!  We left for the airport around 8am and flew to JFK where we had a pretty long layover.  Megan was able to meet up with Kenji Onaka-- a good friend from High School who is going to Westpoint.  We had fun talking to him for about 45 minutes and then we had to get back up to our gate.  (Just Megan and I went down to see him.)  The plane was delayed a bit and then we boarded and sat on the tar mac for quite awhile due to some "paperwork" issues and then we were finally off about an hour late.  It was a long flight.  Bill and I were up in the more comfortable, roomier seats and the girls were in the back somewhere.  I always feel badly about that because I want to sit together as a family!   I tried to sleep, but that's a hard thing to do on a plane!  Below is a picture of the start of our journey...look at all that luggage.  (Mac didn't want to be in the picture.)  Then the next picture is Kenji.  We really enjoyed our visit with him!  It was fun for Megan to see him and catch up a bit!
