State Swim Meet at Skyline High School, Mesa, AZ!!

It was an exciting day!  Brooke swam in the Medley Relay as the Freestyler this morning!  They qualified for the championship final heat tomorrow coming in 8th place!  (They made it in!)  Brooke did an amazing job and got her very fastest 50 Free time ever at a low 27!  She was really excited!  She also swam in the 200 Freestyle Relay swimming a 27 again!  This relay team came in 10th place qualifying them to swim in the consolation final heat tomorrow.

While we were in the stands watching the meet, we got an email from the Stake Seminary Supervisor who had subbed for Brooke's class this week.  Here's what she had to say:

 

Dear Bill,

I substituted Linda Parracks class on Thursday while she was observing another teacher, and I just wanted you and Mindy to know what a delight your daughter Brooke is!  She shared several comments in class about how she has used faith to share the gospel with others and what the atonement means to her.  She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!  It was wonderful to be with and learn from her in class.  Thank you for raising such a wonderful young woman!

Getting these sorts of emails is every parents DREAM!  We are so grateful to have such a beautiful daughter and example to us and all those around her!  This is worth 10 State medals... no, actually, it's priceless!!!  What a great girl!  (This was sent from Diana Andersen.)
