Katelyn's Cross Country Meet in New River

It was a beautiful Arizona morning for an XC meet!  Katelyn gave it everything she had and got 1st place!!!!!!  When she came around that last bend, the sun was in my eyes, but as she got closer, I realized it was her!  The gap between her and the next girl just kept getting wider and wider as the last leg was uphill and Katelyn was pushing hard to the end!  My eyes welled up with tears of pride to see her finish so well!

 Coach said there were over 100 girls, but there is usually

 about 80 and that's what it looked like to me...

Here she comes into the home stretch with no one even close!  About 2/10ths of a mile left...

 

Will run for donuts!  Great job today Katelyn on that rugged, rocky and hilly 2 mile course!
