Our Living Room Concert with Alec Benjamin

We had a really unique opportunity to hear an up and coming new artist named Alec Benjamin. Jaidyn Romero invited Brooke and said she could invite a guest, so she invited ME!! (Well, I kind of asked her if I could be her guest, and she said yes!) Jaidyn had won a contest on Twitter and that is how all of this came about. It was Katelyn's birthday and she really wanted to see him too, but she had her Jr. Guard class she couldn't miss. Darn! He was super entertaining and a really nice person! I really like his voice... it is really unique! He is very talented on the guitar as well. I really enjoyed his concert. Jamie Livingstone was there with her 2 girls as well, Ryleigh and Kobree. She was a lot of fun! We took a bunch of pictures after and Jamie made sure that all the girls there got a picture with him. Jamie gave him a Book of Mormon too! She asked everyone there to sign it and then presented it to him after. It was really cool! He very graciously accepted it although who knows if he will read it, but he has a lot of long drives ahead as he has a few more of these concerts to get to. We will never know if he did or didn't as we have no way to follow-up, but it felt good that we had at least given him the opportunity. Jamie is such a great missionary! I don't think I would've thought to do that! I told Megan about it in my letter to her, and she thought that was a pretty awesome thing that we'd all signed it and given it to him. I even wrote him a little note inside of it, but I can't remember what I said. Here are the pictures...
