Edward Jones Bus Tour of Port Douglas and the Wildlife Habitat

This was a really fun day!  We took a 1/2 day city tour of Port Douglas (it's a pretty small town!!) on a bus with our Edward Jones group, and then we got to go to the Wildlife Habitat as part of the tour (basically another zoo!) and had so much fun seeing a lot of different animals than we saw in Melbourne.  This country is so diverse!  After that, we went grocery shopping right there by where the bus was parked. We loaded up on lots of food so that we don't have to eat out every meal or night. We have a full kitchen, so it's easy to cook meals. Another beautiful day in paradise!

We saw Kangaroos too. A little later on in the trip, at the Edward Jones Theme Night, we were served Kangaroo meat...bad timing!  The girls refused to eat an animal that they'd bonded with a few days earlier!  Apparently it is very common to eat Kangaroo, they are plenty and the Aussie's say they are pests... so they eat them!  I tasted a small piece of the meat and it was ok...sorta tasted like beef.
