Australia!!!

We arrived safely after a very looooong flight to be met by Grandma and Grandpa Freeman.  We flew into Melbourne where they are serving a mission at the National Archives.  We went and got some lunch and took it to the Archives to eat, then had a tour of the place, and then we got to see what Grandma and Grandpa do all day... By the way... we LOVE that Aussie accent!  There very first man to talk to me said, "Gooday Mate!"  It's true, they really do say it, not just in the movies!!  Aw, I could listen to that accent all day long!

Records are unfolded and brads and staples, etc., taken out of them...

...then they are placed on this mat...

...under a very high tech camera that takes a digital picture of the record

to be used in the indexing process for the church.  The Australian government

is thrilled to have the church provide this service as it digitizes the records for them as well...

Later, we took a bus tour of the City of Melbourne...and ended up here at this Ferris Wheel...

I'm so impressed with Melbourne!  It's clean, very contemporary and beautiful!  

There are trees everywhere!

...2nd largest in the world only to the London Eye...

It was a fun day, but we were READY when it was time for bed... just a wee bit of jet lag!!!!
