A September Bloom!

It has been so hot and unbearable with all the humidity we've had, but this morning on my walk, I came across this in our neighbors yard-- blooming in the middle of all of this heat. Normally you don't see blooms on cactus in the fall. It's usually in the spring! But this little guy bloomed anyway! And it looks like there is another bud above it about to bloom too! I guess there is a good lesson here... don't wait for the "right" time to do something... do it now, even if it's hard!!
