We had a FULL day today in Tokyo! We started off with the hotels yummy and very Japanese breakfast. It's Easter Sunday and General Conference today so we thought it would be fun to go to the Tokyo Temple this morning, so we headed there. It was fun to see it again all finished! It felt kinda sad/weird that Beckie and Greg aren't here in Tokyo! We had so much fun with them the last time we came!!! We walked the beautiful grounds and even went inside the church building there on that complex and an English speaking ward Sacrament meeting was going on. We debated staying, but didn't have enough time to do that and everything else Ben had planned for the day, and we only have ONE day here in Tokyo! We walked by a beautiful park right by the temple on our way out. The Japanese really put a lot of effort and work into all their gardens-- they are always so well kept and everything is so green and happy! Our next stop was the Shibuya Tower where we could see the famous Shibuya crossing and see all of Tokyo way up high going for miles and miles! This tower isn't as tall as the Sky Tree we went to last time we were here, but it was in the area where we were going to be today, so Ben thought it would be fun to do. It was! We went all the way to the top outdoor observation deck and looked around which a 360 degree view of it all! The people looked like ants in the famed Shibuya crossing from that high up! We basically stayed in that area for most of the day. Everyone wanted yummy Japanese Ramen, so we put our name on the waiting list at Ichiran Ramen and spent the next hour and a half looking around at a big mall which just so happened to have a Nintendo store...hummmm-- wonder how that happened! Hahahaha! We finally got our ramen and it was seriously so good! That is Japanese comfort food-- it was so yummy and everybody loved it! Then Ben had a tour at Tech Labs all ready for that, so we traveled to that. We were going to go to the Meiji Shrine and have snow cones, but we didn't have time... unfortunately. We found the place for snow cones, but you had to have a reservation!!! Crazy! So we headed over to the Tech Labs tour and really enjoyed that. It was basically a maze of rooms with different displays on the walls using light, images and mirrors, etc. to portray different scenes-- super Japanese! I feel like we kinda got lost in there and it was really dark, too! We went into a room with fish on the walls and realized we could draw our own sea animals and then they took a picture of it and projected our fish onto the walls... SO COOL! That was really fun! Everything was set to music! Tonight we took the bullet train to Kyoto-- we are on the fast track while we are here in Japan! We found such a yummy curry place in the train station of all places-- Todd looked it up and it had 4.9 stars and it was actually SOOOO GOOD! We ate there before boarding our bullet train headed for Kyoto. Ben really wanted to see Mt. Fuji on the way, but our tours and everything we did today took too long and it was dark by the time we boarded our train. It was overcast anyway, so we probably wouldn't have been able to see it anyway... we got to Kyoto and our hotel was across the street from the train station so that was perfect! These rooms were even SMALLER but it was such a cute little room and bathroom-- very Japanese for sure! It had everything we needed though! We settled in and unpacked, because we have 2 nights here in Kyoto!
