Tonight we picked up Katie and Kaden and headed up north to an Outback Steakhouse close to Brooke’s work (so she could stay as long as possible before her night shift) and met Brooke and Ben there— they were already seated. We had such a nice time with everyone visiting and enjoying each others company! After, Brooke needed to head to work but Ben went with us and we did some shopping at Target for K and K’s engagement pictures. We found some cute clothes for both of them but it took a while! On the way to take Ben home, we decided to go to his Stake’s live nativity. The whole building was decorated— there was art on display, beautiful music being performed in the chapel, the nativity movie playing in one of the rooms— the cultural hall was decorated to look like Bethlehem and there was a live nativity on the stage with real animals! The donkey was upstaging the baby Jesus but Mary told me it was ok— he played a huge part in getting them there that night! They had rooms with crèches on display and the last one we went to before leaving was the early American Christmas room where it was decorated like pioneer times! We sampled the food in the Bethlehem area and enjoyed some wassail and pita and hummus and grapes. We tasted homemade taffy and caramel in the early American Christmas room. I loved the entire thing so much and was so glad we stopped! I felt the spirit so strongly everywhere in the building but especially looking at the art of the Savior and watching the Nativity movie. I realized just how much I need Him!! After, we went to B and B’s house and enjoyed seeing them all moved in to their new place! We didn’t stay long and Ben walked us out and waved goodbye to us! I kinda felt a little sad leaving him!
