Carlsbad, CA Regional Meetings-- Day 1

We woke up early this morning and got on the road to be at the San Diego airport by 12:30 to pick up Brookie! She came with us to Regional Meetings this year, which are in Carlsbad, CA at the beautiful Westin Resort there. It is absolutely GORGEOUS here-- the weather is low 70's with a breeze (kinda cold actually) and the beachy air is WONDERFUL!! When we got to the hotel, our room wasn't quite ready so we checked out the outlet mall nearby and got some sub sandwiches at Jersey Mike's for lunch. We found some adorable outfits at Baby Gap for the 2 little boys and I couldn't resist... so we got them! (They're wearing them from the 3rd picture on.) When we got back from shopping both our room and Megan and Todd's room were ready, so we checked Megan and Todd in, who were still driving from AZ, and put the outfits on their bed as a surprise. They were rushed when they got here because they were a bit late and still had to decorate a table for the dinner tonight. While we waited for them to get here, Brooke and I did a really quick core workout with weights I brought from home in our room! The dinner tonight was so fun and they had the cutest interactive DJ for the kids and a little dance party/competition with them. They had all sorts of cute games-- corn hole, Jenga, etc. set up on the lawn outside and it was so nice to be outside and watch Luke and Logan and all the kids just PLAY!! Brooke especially enjoyed the boys and playing and dancing with them! We walked around the grounds and everything is so beautiful and lush-- all the plants look HAPPY! We went to our room afterward and the girls played about 1/2 a game of Shanghai and then we all got tired, so we decided to call it a night and go to bed! We thought we'd finish the game the next day, but we never did... I can't remember who was winning, but I know it wasn't me! Fun first day!!
