We attended our ward this morning and were treated to such beautiful music by our choir and Nicole Moore gave such a good talk about holy week and that the word love appears more times than any other word in these scriptures! We decided to go to Megan and Todd's ward as Todd was performing with his choir and also a duet. The boys were especially active-- especially Logan! But it was also a beautiful service! It is such a cool and beautiful day today! (Because Utah is getting snow and cold weather--thanks Utah!) We had our Easter dinner at our house this afternoon with Allison's missionaries in her ward. She made a pork loin and brought the sides and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and I brought the rolls (was going to make them homemade, but was too tired yesterday when I got home from Utah, so I just bought them at Kneaders-- they weren't as good as homemade, but they were good enough!), and Megan brought yummy green beans. It was a really nice meal! After the missionaries left, we had our Easter egg hunt that McKenzie graciously organized, because I had been out of town! She bought and filled the eggs with candy, blueberries and fishy crackers for the boys and then hid them with dad. The boys had a fun time finding their eggs and we enjoyed watching them play in the yard as the sun went down. It was a cool and breezy afternoon and perfect for an egg hunt outside! Usually by April, we have to hide the eggs inside because it's too warm outside! What a beautiful day and such a meaningful Easter season and holy week as I studied and pondered the last week of the Savior's life-- and that race yesterday. I am so grateful for Him. All the blessings I enjoy in this life are because of Him. They are a reality because of His life, His atoning sacrifice for me and because He rose again in the resurrection. He lives today, and because He lives, I will again too-- surrounded by all of my family and loved ones!!!
