Maui Day 5-- Outrigger Canoe & A Day @ the Resort...

Today was our day to stay at the resort and just enjoy our surroundings. Bill and I got up and went for a paddle on an outrigger canoe this morning. It was through the hotel and we could only get 2 spots because all the other times were already booked up by the time we found out about it. No one else was really interested in doing it anyway, but it was quite the amazing experience! It was a little choppier than they like it to be, but we went anyway. They cancelled all the other tours after we came in, because it just go too choppy out there. We did everything from pushing it off the beach and into the water, so paddling down the coast, then back up past the hotel, and then back down again. We were out there for almost an hour enjoying the beautiful morning. Since the water wasn't as calm as usual, we couldn't see the bottom at all, but the 2 guides said that you can see all the way down normally. They were really nice guys-- one in the back and one in the very front. There was only 1 other girl with us because her mom cancelled last minute due to how choppy it was-- she got nervous! But she took some pictures for us while we were out there and airdropped them to us, so that was nice! The rest of the day we just relaxed at the pool with a view of the ocean. Everybody enjoyed the water slide and just relaxing in our lounges! Later we went to another well known restaurant that Todd found called Monkeypod. The food was really good and everything had an Asian flair to it. Almost all the dishes had kimchi in them as well-- interesting! (Including the burger I ordered!) It was really good food and we had a nice time! Little Logan has been quite the trooper and has been such a good little guy this whole time! It's been fun to hold him and have him around!
