Specialized in the Impossible (Katelyn's Letter)

3.20.2023

Hey y'alllllll!

Lots happened this week. We had Zone Conference on St. Patty's Day which was amazing as always and then my birthday was the next day and then the Relief Society's birthday was the next day!!! So lots of celebrations. It was awesome!

Seeds of Faith
"Jesus specializes in the seemingly impossible. He came here to make the impossible possible, the irredeemable redeemable, to heal the unhealable, to right the unrightable, to promise the unpromisable. And He’s really good at it. In fact, He’s perfect at it." (Patrick Kearon, He is Risen With Healing in His Wings)

We had a great discussion with a Muslim lady this week. She doesn't believe that Jesus Christ was needed to save us from our sins and heartaches and to overcome death, but she believes He was a prophet and that He taught God's gospel. It just got me thinking of who and where I would be without Jesus--without a knowledge of His power and without a personal connection to Him that has taken years of tears and broken prayers to truly understand and LOVE HIM. So here's a brief testimony of my Jesus:

I know Him. I know He lives because I have felt Him HOLD me in my darkest times and cheer me on in the best times. He knows all of me and loves all of me. He has strengthened me. He is my Best Friend. I have no doubts in the power and healing of the Son of God. And I would be nothing without Him. What He did for me and you is the greatest act of love from both Him and Heavenly Father. He specializes in the impossible. And through Him I can too.

Talking to that lady really made me so grateful for the relationship I have with Jesus Christ and for all that His Atonement has helped me learn about God and perfect love. I wish I could have shown her all my experiences and helped her feel the pure love and joy that comes from knowing Jesus Christ! I want everyone to know Him. He is life changing.

*INVITATION*
Think back to experiences that have brought you closer to Jesus. Get to know Him in any way you can. He is your BFF!!!

Pockets of Fun
-Thanks for all the B-day wishes!!!! It was a really good day. We went out and got a low country boil with Connie and Mikyla. It was SOOOO GOOD. They got all of us really nice presents too. It was so cute. I love them so much!
-ZONE CONFERENCE WAS SO GOOD! We talked about the Atonement in one of the trainings and I loved it. It was so fun to see the whole zone too! And I love President Monson and his wife. They are the best!
-We all wore matching beanies one day. It was pretty epic...
-It was POURING rain outside and we were running to the mail room and there were frogs EVERYWHERE BAHA. It was crazy! We were trying to take a picture when we all caught one but Wilky's kept jumping out of her hand. It was soooo funny!
-Our car almost got ran over by a train heehee... I'll definitely watch where I park from now on.
-Went to a b-day party for a boy named Zeke from our ward on my b-day! So that was sweet!! B-day twins!

Gratitude
-Our unique talents!!! I made some rings for people this week and I love that I have been able to use my hobbies to show others love on my mission. It's fun!
-Cadbury Mini Eggs.
-Our ability to help others find Hope in Christ.
-The Relief Society organization!!!! We are the largest women's organization in the world y'all! It's so EPIC and I am so grateful for the women that make up such a charitable, good-hearted and fun experience!

Southern Vocab
Wisteria- BEAUTIFUL purple flowering vines--they are everywhere!!! It's so pretty but it can kill the trees it grows on so people have to cut it down because it spreads so fast!
