A Fun Day with Brooke!

3.24.2022

Brooke and I got to spend the day together! She was craving Costco pizza, so on our way to Salt Lake, we stopped there to get gas and went inside for a slice of pizza for lunch. It was actually really good! Then we headed for Salt Lake and I tried to find the McGee and Co. place that I thought was a store, but apparently it’s just an online fulfillment center. She only does sales out of her warehouse every so often. I was kinda bummed about that! Then we headed to Orson Gygi’s. Brooke wasn’t feeling well, so she stayed out in the car to nap while I went in. I love that store! I poked around and found a couple of cute Easter kitchen towels and I got some of their good melting chocolate and some cute gumballs for Katelyn’s mission open house coming up. I thought it would look cute for color. After that, we went to the Food Nanny store which is only 5 min away!! How convenient! Brooke came in with me and we had fun looking around. I bought some of her Kamut flour and her French sea salt and a cute canister to put it in. I also got a pair of salt and pepper grinders. After that, we decided to go to the City Creek Mall in downtown Salt Lake/Temple Square. The temple is still under construction. We had so much fun poking around those stores and went to Costa Vida for dinner. On our way home, we hit the University Mall.  I had a craving for a Chip cookie, so on our way to her house, we stopped and got a couple. They had just come out of the oven and were piping hot! We took them back to her apt. and she shared hers with Addison and I ate my own! Brooke and I then went back to my hotel and got ready for bed. We kept calling Katelyn to see if she was finished with her busy day. She finally called us back around 10:30—AFTER I’d gotten in my PJ’s wanting to come over and join our sleepover. So I put on my coat and Brooke’s jandals and went and got her! We stayed up LATE again and watched a movie together—“The Adam Project” on Netflix. It was a pretty good movie about time travel, but I was just so tired! I fell asleep and I woke up and looked over at Brooke and she was asleep too! Haha! Katelyn for some reason was wide awake! It was still so fun to have a sleepover and just all be together!  Brooke and I were bummed we didn't get any fun pictures together today, but this note was in the box our Chip cookies came in... cute!  It has been so fun to spend some time together with my girls!  I always miss them so much when they're away!!  I love the good things they are doing in their lives!!!

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
