Crazy Last Night with the Girls!

We decided to all go to CHOM for dinner tonight… burgers just sounded good! Addison was taking a really long test, so we got him a burger and a shake to go. It was so fun visiting with Brooke and Katelyn and laughing and having so much fun! We went to Brooke’s apt. and met up with Addison there. He looked so tired and worn out! He was so grateful for the dinner we got him and thanked me for it several times! While Katelyn took her Stats test in Brooke’s room, Addison, Brooke and I played Phase 10 and BS. (Katelyn needed to take her test because of other stuff going on later in the weekend, but Brooke tried to talk her out of it and just play games with us—Brooke ended up taking her test after I left on Friday.) I had fun getting to know Addison. I feel like playing cards and games is such a good way to get to know someone! The game of Phase 10 was SOOOO long, but I ended up cleaning their clocks! Then we played a game of BS which I won again too! Katelyn finally emerged from Brooke’s room and then we taught Addison how to play Rook! Katelyn and I were partners and won! Rook is a hard game to learn and I think Addison was super tired—he was a really good sport, though! After, both Katelyn AND Brooke wanted to have a sleepover at my hotel—FUN! I think nobody wanted the party to end and we just wanted to keep spending time together! It was already so late by the time we got there, but we decided to stay up and watch a movie. It ended up being such a dumb movie and Katelyn had to get up for her shift at the temple at like 4:45am! Ugh—she only got a couple hours of sleep! I got up a little after that to take her! As I watched her walk up the sidewalk and into the temple (in the DARK), just an overwhelming feeling of gratitude came over me for her and for all of my sweet girls. They are ALL so GOOD!

Well I have so enjoyed being up here in Provo with the girls and helping Katelyn shop for her mission.  It has been fun and therapeutic for me!  I'm glad it all worked out so well for me to come up here and do this!  It really has been such a fun week!!!
