SLIP SLIP HOORAY! (Brooke's Letter)

12.09.2019

Hello everyone! I hope you all are healthy and warm and enjoying the Christmas season!

It's been a fun week!
+ We had exchanges this week! Sister Maloney and I went with Hermana Harker! We went to visit an older Karen lady and Hermana Harker taught her some Spanish! Haha that was really fun. We also got to watch the Christ Child with her! I really love that video! It is so well done and people of any language can watch it and feel the power of its message!

+ We went caroling this week! It was super fun caroling to the Karen people! We would carol to them and then they would follow us out and join us for the rest of the houses! Haha I love these people a lot! So fun!

+ I am always amazed at how cool the Power of the Priesthood is! This week I got to be there for several priesthood blessings and there were so many moments where we just knew that this was God's direction and guidance for the person and not just an Elder talking. I am really grateful that the priesthood has been restored to the earth!

+ We got to go to the temple grounds with Th Blay this week! That was really awesome and we all really felt the spirit there!

+ There's a reason for the title of this week's email... haha so the roads right now are super icy and slick especially on the side streets and in the neighborhoods, so we've been slipping and sliding a lot. (I am learning to find joy even in the not so joyous moments so when I'm driving and we're sliding, we just laugh and start singing the Indiana Jones theme song and buckle up for a wild ride! lol) Anyway driving is fun but walking is even more fun! I think Sister Maloney is the only one who hasn't fallen yet. I have fallen several several times. Haha but it is pretty funny when we do fall or when we just do a funny dance trying not to fall!

+ My Grandma Smith had her 86th birthday this week!! Happy Birthday Grandma! You are the best!

I am really grateful for the Christmas season! I am grateful for Christ and the joy that focusing on Him brings to so many people! I've seen added light in people's countenances as they have come to church with us and prayed and found new hope in Christ! I know that this gospel is true and that it is the truest source of all happiness and joy! I love you all and I know that God loves you!
Love, Sister Freeman ဖီပြံဝါ

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
