သးခုခရံာ်အိၣ်ဖျဲၣ်အနံၤ (Merry Christmas!) (Brooke's Letter)

12.16.2019

Hello & Happy Holidays!

Another crazy week! Here's some highlights:
> More caroling!! Woot Woot so fun!
> Taught some Karen people "Down by the Bank" & they LOVED it!
> Discovered Tacos in a bag! So genius!
> Sang a lot of Karen songs
> Listened to "ခရံာ်ကစၢ်အိၣ်ဖျဲၣ်" on repeat (Karen version of Feliz Navidad)
> Saw a Ton of people for Sister Maloney to say goodbye
> Ate some GOOD Karen food & also some SPICY Karen food (like I think I burnt my mouth)
> Interviews with President!
> Another BOMB volleyball night for Elder Kofford and Sister Maloney's last one!
> North Saint Paul Ward Christmas party! Man, they know how to party! So fun! And we had a REALLY good turn out with the Karen People! They didn't like the English food too much but then someone brought KAREN food & they ate that up real quick!
> Played some Karen games! So so fun! Lots of laughs...
> Got our Karen friends to do the Hokey Pokey!
> SUNDAY. Sunday was probably one of my favorite days on my mission so far! We had SO many people come to church! In this ward, the Karen Missionaries give farewell talks when they go home so Sister Maloney & Elder Kofford gave theirs! We had a really AMAZING lesson in Karen Sunday School! One of our English members came in and talked about the new program for goal setting for the youth and it was just so good! They really participated and were engaged! SO COOL! And to finish off an amazing day we got to go to Mission Presidents Fireside (MPF) & Heh Luh came! So so fun!

It was a really fun week! It is super sad to see missionaries go home & we are going to miss them a lot but I know that God will help us & them as we all adjust & that we will all see each other again soon! I have grown to really love the people in this area & I can't imagine how hard it would be to leave after 18 months or 2 years but thank goodness for technology & that we can keep in touch! I challenge ya'll to reach out to someone you haven't seen in a while or someone that is far away & send them an uplift & some love!

I love you all! Remember "the future is as bright as your Faith!" :)
Love, Sister Freeman ဖီပြံဝါ

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
