This week has been SO GOOD!
First things first: HSA SOE.
So, Hsa Soe is the cutest kid! For the longest time, his grandma wouldn't let him get baptized which is sad, but this last week we randomly decided to go visit him and we walk in the door and he says, "My Grandma said yes!" At first we were confused but then we realized what he meant and we got so hyped!! HSA SOE'S GETTING BAPTIZED! I think we've said that sentence a thousand times this week! November 2nd! :) Apparently his grandma's heart was softened and that is such a miracle! This kid is seriously the best kid in the world! Let me try to show just how awesome he is. In one of his prayers after teaching him the gospel of Jesus Christ he said "Dear Heavenly Father, I will follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ..." How cute is that?! Also when we were planning his baptism, we asked who he wanted to confirm him in church and he thought for a second and then got this big smile and said, "wee Nelson!" (haha aka President Nelson) He is just the best! Haha also, after learning about tithing, he went to his room and told us he had 20 pennies to bring to church to pay his tithing! He is SUCH a GOOD KID! And he deserves the best which is why we are so excited for him to get BAPTIZED!
Next things next: Th Blay!
Th Blay is the cutest! She is so prepared and ready to hear this gospel! We feel the Spirit so strongly when we are around her! She definitely has real intent and a sincere desire to follow God and she loves everything that we are teaching her! I just love her a lot! She has been praying to know if the church is true and God is telling her that it is!
Next things next: The cute family!
We found the cutest family a couple weeks ago! Ever since we met them I have felt this strange like connection to them! We were teaching them yesterday and asked them to go get their Bible and the daughter came back with a Book of Mormon too and we were stunned haha! We were like "Where did you get that!?" Apparently they had been taught a long time ago and moved! And now we found them! I am super excited to teach them!
Next things next: MPF (Mission President's Fireside)
I got to go to my first MPF this week!!! MPF is a meeting where converts to the church share their stories and experiences! Holy Guacamole it was amazing!! I felt the spirit so strongly that whole night! I know I say it a lot but THIS CHURCH IS SO TRUE! With every story, we could see how God has had a hand in each of their lives guiding them to the gospel! SO COOL!
Last things last: THE TEMPLE!!!
WOWOWOWOWOW :) This last week we had a Karen temple trip and it was AMAZING! First off, I LOVE THE TEMPLE! I literally could not stop SMILING! Which is also just because I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! Haha I think I've written that in my journal like every day this week! These people are just so humble and kind and amazing! There was definitely a special happiness in the temple that day :)
It was such a good week! So many happy days :)
This week (and every week haha) I have been studying a lot about faith and have some quotes worth sharing :)
- "Faith is moving forward into the unknown armed only with hope and desire" The unknown is one of the most scary things to me but I know that I can do all things through Christ! I can have faith!
- I also read the story about Christ and His Apostles when they were on a boat and a storm picked up while Christ was sleeping. They started to fear and woke Christ up saying, "Carest thou not that we perish?" Christ calmed the sea and then asked "How is it that ye have no faith?" They were scared and doubtful and where fear and doubt are, faith goes away. It is in those stormy times that it is hardest to have faith but remember that Christ will calm the storms in our lives! We have to have faith!
Also, if you are looking for another great podcast, "Conversion of a Catholic Priest" is reeeeeeally good! ;) MPF is kind of like everyone telling their stories like that!
Anyway, sorry for a bit of a long email this week!
Happy Halloween! I'd love to hear how you are doing! I'd also love to hear about your conversion stories or how you came to know the church is true or just your testimony about God :) I love you all! (ယအဲၣ်သု "yuh eh thu") God bless you! (ကစၢ်ယွၤဆိၣ်ဂ့ၤသု"guh sah ywah soe ghay thu")
