Today is the Day! Phoenix Half Marathon!

We had to wake up at 3am today to make it to the busses on time, to make it to the race start to find a heater, use the port-a-potties and WAIT for the race to start at 6:30.  It was a fun race and a bit warmer at the start than last year!  It was fun to run the race with Katelyn.  We were both REALLY sore for the rest of the day-- Katelyn's shins were really bothering her!  We enjoyed the race and the after festivities at the finish!  We got stretched and had massages and enjoyed our Kneaders french toast!  Bill surprised us and cheered us on at a couple of points in the race... mile 4 and mile 11!  I wasn't expecting to have any fans cheering us on!  It was cold at the finish and even colder as the sweat from running cooled off as the breeze hit us!  It was nice to get our warm clothes out of our drop bags!  It was a fun race!!!
