We had a
couple of BIG days on Monday and Tuesday!!
MCKENZIE GRADUATED FROM ASU!!!!
We are SO PROUD OF HER!!! It has
definitely been a sacrifice for her these last 5 ½ years from changing her
major several times, to then settling on her Graphic Information Technology
major and having to commute out to East Mesa's Polytechnic campus almost every single day for the
last 3 years to complete her coursework in that major! She loved the subject matter and found
something she loves to do! (Now to find
a real job!!) We enjoyed the
Commencement on Monday in the Wells Fargo Arena where all the graduates and
people met. President Crowe gave a great
speech. I really like him! He is so down to earth and did a great job
addressing the graduates! Katelyn went
with us, so she missed school on Monday but Mondays are only ½ days for
her. McKenzie looked so great in her cap
and gown and she was all smiles! After,
we took lots of pictures and then headed over to Pei
Wei’s for lunch—where Mac
wanted to go. Then we went to see the second Fantastic Beasts movie, because that’s what McKenzie wanted to do to celebrate
her graduation! It was a lot of fun and
a day that definitely makes a parent feel so proud and happy! I know it’s hard to get a degree, but it was especially difficult for McKenzie to do something on that level, and SHE DID
IT!! She persevered and stuck with it
and now she has a DEGREE! Later on, Jim
and Marilyn drove in from Utah. They
came as soon as they could, to go to her Convocation ceremony tomorrow. What a joyful day!!!
