Here's Brooke's favorite pictures of the Savior! Today was a fun day prepping for and doing fun Christmas things! We collected blankets from people in the ward and also rounded up some ourselves and today Brooke and I put bows and homemade cards on each one. It was a lot of fun! We laughed and listened to Christmas music while we worked! It has been so much fun to have her HOME!!!!! (We put the poem below inside of each card.) Then the Livingstone's came over and we all wrote special notes on each of the cards and then we packed all the blankets up and headed for a yummy dinner at Cafe Rio and then we were off the the Phoenix Rescue Mission Shelter to donate the blankets. It was so neat to be able to do some very small thing for someone else. I wish I had more blankets to donate! It sure makes you so aware of just how much you have, when you see people who've had such difficult circumstances. The people at the shelter were so thankful for our donation and were so friendly and welcoming to us! After, we went and had doughnuts at Krispy Kreme. Usually with the Livingstone's it is our tradition to go see the Mesa Temple lights together, but since there weren't any this year, due to all the construction, we decided to do a service instead. I like this new tradition and want to do this each year. It actually started last year when our family was in DC-- we had blankets sent to DC and then while we were there, we donated them to a shelter there. So, this year there were no temple lights, but we sure felt the Light of our Savior, as we donated to help those in need!!!
