It was a fun evening! We divided the kids into teams and started off by playing Frisbee Golf! I think they all really enjoyed that game. (We played a rousing game of Mafia while everybody was arriving and then went outside to play Frisbee Golf.) Restaurant gift cards were given out to the two top scoring teams...each person got a $10 gift card. Katelyn's team actually came in first place! (She gave her gift card to Amanda Buckhannon though-- I thought that was nice of her!) After Frisbee Golf we had Pizza and all the fixings-- soda pop, chips and dips, veggie platter and even wings to go with it. Then it was dark enough for night games-- specifically Spotlight. They all LOVE that game! Then we came in to sing Happy Birthday to Katelyn and have cupcakes. Then out for more games and then we ended with a bonfire and roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. It was a really fun night. It sure changes the dynamic to have boys at the party! Katelyn is the first to want boys invited at age 14. They other girls only wanted to invite girls at that age! Should I be worried? Yikes! Katelyn is growing up too fast! Now she can go to dances and she'll go to high school in the Fall. I'm not ready for this!
