The Championship Game v. Veritas Prep

What a GREAT game!!  The girls all played their hearts out, but it wasn't quite enough.  Veritas beat Glendale Prep in a DOUBLE SHOOTOUT!!  They basically won because their goalie missed 1 less time than ours did... oh this was so heartbreaking!!  The team was SO disappointed!  They all wanted that championship trophy so badly... but they did well.  They got a picture with their 2nd place trophy and will come back next year even stronger and ready to do it then.  There were a lot of tears... even Katelyn was emotional.  She usually keeps pretty calm and collected in games, but she wanted it really badly too, and it was just all too much for her to contain her tears!  I love to watch Katelyn in games.  She is so focused and has so much tenacity and drive!!  She is a true athlete.  Well, a 10-1 record isn't too shabby!!  10 consecutive wins is pretty impressive for any game, level or league.  We are proud of both Brooke and Katelyn for being part of basketball and soccer this season.  It was so fun as parents to watch their games.  That is great entertainment!  They both gave it their best!!
