Beach Week in San Diego-- Day 4

This morning we all got up and got ready to go to church. We just happened to go to Cindy Zoltan’s ward. It was fun to see her and catch up since seeing her at Allison’s high school reunion. After church we went to Old Town San Diego and had some great Mexican food for a late lunch at Cafe Coyote. Then we walked over to the Mormon Battalion exhibit and it was so fun to see the presentation and walk around the exhibit! Later on was the exciting part of the entire vacation! After taking some family pictures Brooke and Ben went for a “walk” down the coast and then came back to where we had our pictures and walked further down... Earlier he and Todd had set up a blanket and rose petals and some lights and Ben had gotten a bouquet of flowers for her. Well we pretended to go back to the car and we did… but McKenzie stayed with the boys and we walked back down behind Ben and Brooke and were able to see him propose to her-- we were too far away to hear it though. Megan and Katelyn were already there so Katelyn could take pictures and Megan could take video. Brooke is so happy and it was fun to see them so excited for this next chapter! It has all just felt so right! What a fun night! BTW— family pictures went great but Luke refused to smile and threw a fit the whole time Bill and I tried to get pictures with him and Logan!! Logan was totally fine with it!! They turned out pretty funny though! What a fun day and week!! And what a special day for Ben and Brooke-- I can't wait for Ben to officially be a part of our family, even though it already seems like he is!
