Sweet & Happy Day with My Boys!

3.27.2025

These CUTE boys!!! I watched the boys all day while Megan and Allison went to a dental convention for a CE class. I have to admit, I was a bit worried about not having enough energy or getting a migraine, or both, while I was watching them, but it was actually the BEST DAY!! I felt rested when I got up that morning and the entire day with them was so EASY. They both behaved like angels even though I know Logan wasn’t feeling well with his molars coming in. Even with all that, he was so cute and so good! We played outside until it was time for Logan’s nap. I put Logan down and he went to sleep so easily! Luke and I enjoyed quiet time and played some cute games and with some quiet toys and I tidied up Megan’s kitchen for her. Luke helped me sweep the floor! When Logan woke up we went to a little play gym where there’s gymnastics equipment for little kids and rooms with different toys to play with. They both really enjoyed that, but Logan was ready quite a bit before Luke was ready to go. Luke HAD SO MUCH FUN!! I think Logan was hungry and just not feeling well because he started to get really frustrated with the toys and things and would cry whenever he tripped and fell or something. He really was being so good for not feeling well and it made me so sad to see him hurting! We remedied the hunger problem by hitting Chick-fil-A on the way home. By the time we got to Megan’s they were BOTH asleep! Luke was definitely not supposed to fall asleep and Logan was so hungry! So I woke them up, which was so hard to do knowing they were so tired from all that play, but I knew they’d wake up hungry, so I just rolled the dice that Logan would go back down for a nap. He loved his food and ate so well. Luke didn’t really eat much. I put Logan down for a nap and he cried a little but went right to sleep! I was glad he still napped after taking that cat nap on the way home! Luke was playing so nicely with his quiet toys when Megan got home around 4. She was early because they decided not to go to the last class. I was surprised that I really wasn’t tired at all! It had been such a dream of a day! I know Heavenly Father blessed me to feel good enough to watch my sweet grand boys! On my drive home I just felt so much joy and gratitude for them and that they live so close and I can have a close relationship with them! It really has been such a blessing in my life to have Megan live nearby! Those boys are the best and happiest part of my life! It is hard to explain the grandchild thing. It is just such an amazing thing. That day was a day I will always remember as such a little sweet tender mercy at such a hard time physically for me! They are good boys and Megan and Todd are doing such a wonderful job raising them! Luke is so energetic, happy, lively and imaginative and Logan is so curious and content. He gets frustrated because he can’t keep up with his own curiosity! But I love how sweet and loving he is! He reminds me so much of Megan when she was his age! They have the same personalities and they look so much alike too! (Megan and Logan)  Love them so much!  What a sweet day we all had today!!!
