Flagstaff, I Don't Want to Leave You...
6.22.2024

Got up and ran again this morning in 59 degree weather—in JUNE!! Still can’t believe it was that nice!! Then I went to breakfast with Bill before his meetings. They had the Spouse/Guest meeting that morning and then an included buffet lunch again. That afternoon we were supposed to go on a gondola ride, but it got cancelled due to lightning and rain. We got the text from the Wallaces as we were headed over there, so we diverted and went to Bearizona instead. That ended up being so much fun even though it rained quite a bit. The rain was actually so nice! (I also loved hearing the lightning too!) We watched the bears for a long time and there were even 2 baby bear cubs that were playing so cute together! Bears are fun to watch!! After, we went to Williams where we got some yummy ice cream-- that is a cute little town! I didn't realize it was so close to Flagstaff! We came back to the hotel and got cleaned up for the adult dinner that evening. It was casual this year—we were told to wear denim and plaid. There was no awards ceremony this year either, because they had it back in April with the BOA’s, to include them. (This is new, and it will be done this way from here on out.) Bill and I were gone at Brooke’s BYU graduation, so we missed it.) We had assigned seating and there was entertainment after dinner. They had 2 piano players come that could literally play anything (they took requests) and they were very interactive with the crowd. It was fun! Just before 10, we left with Megan and Todd to pick up the boys from babysitting. I was ready to go because the party was getting a little crazy with all the drinking, etc.! It was a great weekend and another awesome summer regional in the books!!!
