Lots of stuff happened this week. Here's some highlights...
Seeds of Faith
I gave a talk in church on God's love for His Children.
I went through Moses 7 and talked about God weeping for the wicked people who died in the flood when Noah built the ark. I talked about His unconditional love even when we are at the lowest of the lowest or the evilest points in our lives.
Here is a little of what I actually wrote down for my talk lol... Ain't nobody got time to do word for word when the branch president calls you the Saturday before and asks you to have something prepared the next day ahaha!
God: 41. "...looked upon their wickedness, and their misery, and wept and stretched forth his arms, and his heart swelled wide as eternity; and his bowels yearned; and all eternity shook."
It has an eternal cost to an eternal loving God who knows what's best and still has to watch all of His imperfect children choose to suffer.
It has an eternal reward to an eternal loving God who knows what's best and looks forward to the infinite Joy that every single one of His children can experience despite the sins and mistakes they make now.
When we weep He weeps.
When we feel Joy He feels Joy.
Pockets of Fun
-I held a lot of animals from part member families lol: A mentally impaired cute racoon, a humungous Bearded Dragon and a baby python. And I was the only person to catch a fish of my district last pday:)
-Went to the Temple with 1/3 of the mission. It was soooooo awesome!
-Sooooo our car monitor device that yells at us if we speed or drive sus finally had it with Sister Moorhouse using Sister Morenos old card because Morty left hers at transfers on accident lol. It logged Mo's card out of the system so we had to call the Chinese people at Orbcomm to help and it was hilarious for me at least bahahaha! We could barely understand them and they ultimately did NOTHING so we have been driving with Tiwi (the car monitor) yelling at us for not signing in--RIP!
-Had a fun lesson with Dougy Boy and drew the premortal life with our bodies vs. our spirits. His drawing was PRICELESS! Doug is a legend. Love him!
-Had THE BEST PIZZA EVER: ANDIES PIZZA'S YUM YUM PIZZA. It was busalicious!
-Had a fun member meal with the Blairs who have the cutest house ever! Love them. We had a cool conversation on the history of the church.
-Had a bing to leave a baptism on date card (it outlines the requirements and steps to baptism. You usually give it to the person in person after they except the invite to make this covenant) on Welton Pees door haha... So pray that that goes somewhere!
-Met our bestie Sam Matteson's sister when we ate at her house and she showed me a picture she drew of Jack Sparrow!!! Ahhhhh so iconic. I love him!
-Before the temple on Friday, the Surfside sisters slept over/povered at our apartment and we did face masks and the tortilla game of course bahaha... It was soooo fun!
-SOUTH CAROLINA IS SO HOT Y'ALL. But it's worth it for how beautiful it is.
-Had another dinner with the Lanes on Sunday and Brad and Morty did their Stitch impressions from the movie Lilo and Stitch. It was sooooo funny to see this actually redneck truck driver do a Stitch impression. They are such a cute couple. He is white and Jay is black and they have they CUTEST mixed little boy named Kasson. Laughed a lot and Jay and Brad opened up about a lot of crazy things they have been through including Brad's neck being broken in a car accident and him going to spirit prison for a month before coming back!!! He completely turned his life around after that point though. I really respect them for everything they have given up to raise and support a family:)
