Pinnacle Peak Ward Campout!
8.18.2023

This morning we headed up to the ward campout up north. (At Long Valley near Happy Jack.) We invited Megan, Todd and Luke and we had the BEST time! We left around 9:30 in the morning and got there around noon, only because we overshot the exit. It was so cool and beautiful up there in the pines! There was a cool breeze and it was overcast and then later the sun came out! Megan brought sandwiches and grapes for everyone for lunch and it tasted so good once we got our table and camp sort of set up. Luke was in HEAVEN and he explored with Tucker for most of the afternoon! Another family arrived with their razor… they came and introduced themselves (everyone is super friendly in this ward), and then they disappeared on their razor. We had the entire camp to ourselves for almost the entire day until people started arriving around 4pm. Only about 10 families came but it was so awesome to be able to get to know them all! (Murphys, Prices, Aspers, Rigbys, Knights, Workmans, Samuelians, Alvords, Moores, Trimbles, Glenns and us!) The Knights had a cute English Cream retriever named Luna and Tucker was in love with her—he was such a huge pain! She was so pretty and only about a year old. Dad brought carne asada and we cooked up our street tacos and had some cut watermelon for dinner. It tasted so good. We gave leftovers to people who passed by and they were amazed! We basically just visited with people as they came in. We were kinda central, so everyone had to pass us so we said hello to everyone. It was fun to visit with people around the camp fire and get to know them. I am just still super impressed with how friendly and conversational everyone is in this ward! They want to talk and get to know you! It’s wonderful!!
