Misc. Progress @ the House...

The plumbers installed our RO system under the Kitchen sink. They also installed the water softener system in the garage!! Our new front door arrived and Terry is personally taking it to the shop and making sure it is painted correctly and will switch out the door that was done wrong and botched so badly that it can't be saved. (I don't have a lot of confidence in these painters!) It was installed a while ago and I keep forgetting to take a picture of it, but I just LOVE my gold faucet in the powder room! It contrasts SO NICELY with the black beadboard!! I love that it looks vintage, but is brand new!!!  The trim guys also fixed the corners in the bathroom on the baseboard where they finished it wrong in 2 places.  I was happy to see that they had done that!  Progress is slow, but things are definitely happening... we still don't know how long it will be before we move in, but we aren't in any hurry anymore, now that we've moved to Megan's and have all our stuff safely stored. I want these contractors to get it RIGHT before I pay them and I'd like to have it done right BEFORE we move in! Terry agrees that this should be the process. I spoke with him today and told him that these are my thoughts, but I also don't want it to drag out forever, either!! I'm hoping we can move in within the next couple of weeks...at the latest! Terry is hoping to get another inspection either by tomorrow or this Monday. Even if we get C of O, I still don't want to move in until everything is completed to my satisfaction-- especially on all of the cosmetic stuff-- and there is A LOT that needs to be fixed and/or touched up. Hopefully this process doesn't drag on!
