Another week already?!?!?! Can't believe it y'all. Missions are crazy--they are like a mini life haha. You learn sooooo much, both the hard and easy way, so fast and it's ALL worth it. If you are thinking about going on a mission (or not)--prayerfully consider it! Have a long convo with Heavenly Dad. My mission has been everything I haven't expected and EVERYTHING I've needed:)
Seeds of Faith
THE POWER OF GRATITUDE Y'ALL. So we had a reallyyyyyy good ZCM (Zone Conference meeting with all the missionaries in our zone) and it really helped me a lot. The discussion was on Gratitude. I've set my alarm to be the song 'I'm So Blessed' by CAIN everyday. Lemme tell ya starting out the day with a reminder of how blessed I am, just if I have a heart beat or the fact that I am a child of God, has been a drastic difference to before! I am so much more positive and excited in the mornings!
We talked about Gratitude with one of the people we found this week--Olivia, who is really good at it. She talked about how it's always the thing that we don't notice or see that we need the most and should be grateful for--like air! And like God and Jesus!!!!
A video I watched shared something I'm very grateful for now: The word "AND". Jesus is the AND: "We in mortal life live a lot with "or" as our thought. We can be here OR there. We can be happy OR sad. We can be heartbroken OR hopeful. I'm learning now how to use the word "AND". I can remember and miss and love the past AND be optimistic about the future. I can be heartbroken AND happy in the same breath. I can be devastated AND determined to keep going all at once. Jesus Christ is that "AND". We don't have to choose this or that. He let's us find healing, He let's us be whole in Him, so that we can face the struggles of life AND know that life really is a beautiful gift from God."

*INVITATION*
Gratitude doesn't mean you won't have trial and hardship and pain, but it lets us access AND more. Change up your schedule this week to fully access the power of gratitude whether that's listening to the "I'm So Blessed" song everyday or keeping a journal or anything. Learn to us the word AND through Jesus Christ! I promise it will change your life:))

Pockets of Fun
-One of the Lambert kids' friend Diva called us up and wanted us to come over and hangout with them. It was so cute! We are getting a fun reputation with the neighborhood heehee. The kids love us! Turns out Kamari caught a LIZARD and they were just holding it in the house. You know mine and Colas luck...somehow the lizard jumped away and we were running around the couch like crazy trying to catch it lol.
-Cola is going off of sugar and she is KILLING IT! But she has been in a funny cranky mood all week haha. I keep "love tapping"/hitting her when she says something negative and she hates it. She says I'm abusive bahaha.
-We heart attacked the Elders car for Valentines Day heehee...
-We babysat Sister Alexander for a day while her trainers went to a leadership meeting and it was a good time! Lots of fake things that day (I hope). We knocked a lady's house with fake skeletons EVERYWHERE and then we visited a friend in the hospital that had a fake dog there to comfort her but get this y'all--it BREATHED!! It was so trippy. I thought it was real so I was petting it until I realized it wasn't and I said it out loud because I was confused and the lady looked at me with disdain and said it definitely was real. I felt so bad. I went along with it and just kept on petting it bahaha.
-At the soup kitchen the cook (Doug) called another volunteer (Miss Ladawna) shawty asking her to do something. Her eyes got so big (this lady has one of the biggest and funniest personalities ever) and she said, "Not if you be calling me shawty!" And stared him down so hard. I was in the cross fire just dying laughing.
-We are heart attacking all our members' doors for Valentines Day and Y'ALL I've been caught soooooo many times. Huge party foul I know, but in my defense EVERYONE here has video camera door bells!!! The humiliation as they open the door and say CAUGHT YA is too much. But I've gotten speedy. I'm like a track star hurdling over those bushes now.
-We told Elder Diaz he has black airforce (the shoe--it's just a vibe idk how to explain it) energy. Then he told us that we have watermelon patterned croc energy baha. Elder Roe thinks I have white vans energy though so that's a flex. I'm either super basic or most people like me.
-We went to a baptism for Jesse in the Evans ward and had to speed home to get the refreshments that Cola made for it! It was very intense and we even got back in time for her to play the music and for me to say the closing prayer baha! I love baptisms so much though. They are super special:,)

Gratitude
-At ZCM someone told the story of Jared's brother seeing God's finger touch stones to bring them light for their journey."If you want to see God's hand more in your life, you have to start at His fingertips" -Elder Humphries
>>>Recognize the little things!
-Laughter
-A bed to rest in
-Rain jackets lol
-A beating heart
-The INCREDIBLE amount of God's seconds that I get to use everyday, every breath, every moment.
-The workers and people at the soup kitchen. They are so positive and uplifting. They have taught me a lot. It don't matter what you got or what you're not but that you fought and won a lot to give others. (I tried to rhyme there. Wasn't my best work but there it is.)

Skruggle vs. struggle: In mission terms, skruggle is a lot worse than struggle. It means you're having a crisis or something baha.
