Another beautiful week in Augusta. I'm really loving it here!! Fun times and interesting finds haha. Its definitely got a unique vibe compared to SC and EVERYONE is Georgia Bulldogs fans haha. Every house we go to has a little bulldog statue in front. Everyone is super nice too... until we say we are missionaries:,) But it's all in God's timing!
Seeds of Faith
IVAN GOT BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!! I got to go back to Charleston for it and see a lot of my fav people there again. I am so grateful I got to go back!!! Sooooo God is just so good--lemme tell you why. Friday was a super rough day. Door after door slammed and rejection after rejection and annoyed nappers lol. I couldn't take it anymore. All my emotions were just building up until that point. We finally just went to Circle K and got a polar pop while listening to 'Bad Day' by Daniel Powter to help as I ranted to Cola (Sister McCullough) while slamming a resto pamphlet on the dash board lol. Then we just ended up laughing so hard at the situation and this area. We then decided to put in the schedule: 'miracle' - that's all we did. We didn't know what it was going to be but we prayed for it and continued with our day. That night we had dinner with a part member family and the nonmember dad had invited his friend to come! We had a super good convo and funnnnn time with all of them. They are the best! Maurice (the friend) ended up coming to church today, is so humble and kind and ready to learn and read the Book of Mormon! An absolute answer to our prayer! He is certainly a MIRACLE!
But as I got thinking of it I realized something. This quote from Lawrence E. Corbridge's devotional titled "Stand Forever" (soooo good) came to my mind:
"The most phenomenal occurrences of all time and eternity—the most amazing wonders, the most astounding, awesome developments—are the most common and widely recognized... More phenomenal than resurrection is birth. The greater wonder is not that life, having once existed, could come again but that it ever exists at all. More amazing than raising the dead is that we live at all. A silent heart that beats again is not nearly as amazing as the heart that beats within your breast right now. That one could see on a stone or through a special lens the modern translation of ancient text written on plates of gold is far less amazing than the human eye. The wonder is not what the human eye may see, rather, that it sees anything at all."

I looked back on the day and noticed soooo many little things. I thought of the miracle of even being able to speak and converse about my beliefs. I have legs that allow me to walk and function. The impact of a simple SMILE (a movement of muscles that then releases love and joy and good hormones in others?!) is a miracle! How polar pops are made is a miracle too;) No more slamming resto pamphlets on the dash board for me haha because there is literally so much to be grateful for every second of every day!!
*INVITATION*
Miracles happen 24/7 for us we just have to look for and appreciate them! We tend to focus on the big ones that bring success in missionary work or contradict some of nature's laws or crazy coincidences that can't be coincidence. But as you look for the miraculous power in every single thing that God has made, I promise you will start to see people and situations in a much brighter light and life will be so much fuller and wonderous! Put time in your schedule to look for miracles and you will find them:)

Pockets of Fun
-Kay: Heehee we found this little Indian lady and she is the cutest thing ever. Whenever she says any colorful words Cola and I can't help but laugh because her heavy accent saying them is so surprising baha. She wants us to come over often and talk. She is very welcoming even though she kept asking us why we were there lol.
-We volunteer at a soup kitchen every week and the people that come are awesome. Definitely an eye opening experience to the unity that we all can feel towards each other if we see through all the outer shallow things.
-McCullough was super sore from working out this week. Literally all the houses here are large and on hills that we have to walk up to get to haha, so she was just waddling in PAIN and I was just laughing so hard at her. I should have gotten her a cane or something.
-Got to see a lot of people from Nexton at Ivan's baptism including KANOOOO and some of my old DISTRICT and JOHN (aka the eagle). I love them sooooooooo much. They have my heart. We also went to Mod Pizza for lunch after! That place do be bussin.
-One of our members was talking about contractions and bodily fluids in her talk at church right as our friend Maurice and the Lambert family were walking in, so that was a little interesting lol. But it ended up being an amazing talk on how the gospel and life is sacred but that doesn't mean its not messy and chaotic and confusing too.
-We went to Uptown Cheapskates on pday and there was soooo much cute stuff to thrift (don't worry mom I didn't get anything... yet lol). I also found out that there is one of the two Anthropology outlets in the entire US here in Augusta--so BEST BELIEVE we will be going heehee.
-We saw a freaking SNAKE on the dock we were walking on and it scared the crap out of me. Cola thought it was dead so we threw something at it to see and it was DEF ALIVE!
-One of the kids in the ward calls me Sister Freedom so that's a flex.

-Connie's DEVILED EGGS. Absolute HEAVEN no joke. I love her so much!
-Being able to laugh at hard things:)
-Georgia nature (I miss the beaches but it's still pretty).
-Awesome fun members (I feel like I say them every week but it's true haha).
-The FACT that God truly loves us so much where we are... but He also loves us too much to keep us there!
