Specifically... Berlin! We made it safe and sound to Berlin, figured out where to get our rental car (not close to our terminal-- in fact it was the opposite side of the airport!), waited a looong time for paperwork, and headed to our hotel. Robin drove which was really scary because the roads are different here and we can't read any of the signs!! (They're all in German! Hahahaha!) We paid the extra 8 Euro per day for a GPS system... yeah I think we're going to be glad we bought that! We found our hotel and had time to unpack, figure out the parking meter outside of the hotel (because the hotel lot was full) which was also all in German! We are lucky though, because most everyone speaks English here, so that is good! They seem happy to help us, too. They seem to like to practice their English! The name of our hotel is Amamo Grand Central Hotel and it's really nice! And modern! I like it. I slept on the couch pull out bed, but it was really comfortable! We played a game of Shanghai Rummy and went to bed.
