Amazing Game! GP V. Trivium Prep

3.31.2017

Katelyn played her heart out at tonight's game!  Wow!!  She was SO FUN to watch.  In fact, the whole team was playing such a great game!  It was AWESOME!!  She had a great game both offensively and defensively and completely shut down their #1 player (again).  That #24 for Trivium is really learning to despise Katelyn!  She's her worst nightmare!  The final score was 32-26-- we thought it was going to be a nail-biter but we ended up gaining a lot of momentum in the last quarter.  Maddie was on fire with her 3 pointers too, which helped out a lot!  (She hit 4 of them!)  Katelyn had about 15 points as well.  They were all shooting, rebounding and playing really well!!

And it starts...

The girls were passing great tonight!

 Up for the shot!

 Great offensive playing, Katelyn!

 Another great shot!

 ...and another one!

 ...one more!

 Perfect positioning!

Love that aggressive girl that comes out on the court!  #24 didn't like it so much...

Another great game GP!!

Medallion Recognition Dinner For Brooke :)

3.29.2017

Tonight the Stake YW put on a special recognition dinner for all the girls who earned their medallion or honor bee awards in the last year.  Brooke was one of those for having earned her medallion!  It was a nice dinner and fun to eat and visit with other girls and their family's from our ward.  They got nice plaques of the Phoenix Temple as a gift.

Spring Visiting Teaching Treats!

3.28.2017

I made some VT treats for my sisters today!  Saw the idea at Kneaders and found some cute kitchen dish cloths at Ross, so I made up some gifts with my own ribbon, etc.  I still had to buy the bread (at Kneaders), because we packed my bread pans!!  Half my stuff is packed in my kitchen right now, because we are getting ready for the renovation.  But it's all good!  I thought these turned out CUTE!!

Great Week!

3.27.2017

Hello everybody!

Okay I'm just going to jump to the exciting news.... CARTER GOT BAPTIZED! WOOOH!!

It was such a lovely day. After her baptism, we went back to the bathroom with her for her to change and she just started to cry and told us she just felt so clean. It was such a tender moment. Carter has so much faith and is such a huge inspiration! She bore her testimony after and it was so amazing. She is so strong and is going to go so far in life. God guided her and it was such a huge blessing to be a part of her journey! Ah this made my whole life. Getting to witness this amazing step in her life! She got to be interviewed for her baptism by our mission president, and that was such a neat experience for her they connected so well! I am so grateful for all the members in the DC 2nd ward and for all their fellowship and support to Carter. It made all the difference in her conversion. I'll attach some pictures from the baptism! We took lots!

This week was a good week. I feel like the weeks are going by faster and faster and I don't like that haha. I wish I could just do another 18 months!! That would be so great. I love my mission with all my heart. I never knew the mission could change me so much as it has and I will be forever grateful for my mission and for the good and depressing experiences that I have had. Can sisters serve two years? That's the question I will forever have ;) anyway, we had a busy week full of exchanges and I treasured every last second. I got to go on exchanges with Sister Shin, a previous companion I had, and it was really cool to see her growth from when she first came out on the mission. She is so cute, we were out tracting, and we were talking to a man, and he got on a tangent and told us how he hated when his kids or anyone told him that "they can't" or that "it is too hard" or "they give up." He went off on how people need to try try try. Haha right after that, Sister Shin in her cute English said, "YEAH I like that and that is why we will not give up on you. We will try try try!" Haha the man's words backfired on him and it was really funny. He agreed to a return appointment, so that worked out haha! I was so proud of her and her boldness!

The mission is so great and I could go on and on about it but we have a packed day today! I love you all and am so grateful for all of your prayers and support. This mission has been the best thing that could have ever happened in my life. It kind of stinks, right when I finally think I got the hang of things, I reach the end of my mission.... ah I wish I could stay even longer but I am grateful for all that I have learned!

Have a good and safe week!
Love,
Sister Megan Elizabeth Freeman

Sunday Fun (Involving Katelyn...Of Course) and a Trip To See Grandma!

3.26.2017

Katelyn never fails when it comes to providing funny pictures!  I was writing a letter to Megan, and she walked in wearing this mask on her face and posed for these pictures!  What a funny girl!

In other news... we have more Sunday antics going on at Grandma's Rehab Center.  I don't know what it is about Sundays, but I always get some great shots of the girls being silly on these days.  Grandma was on the phone, and they got bored, so they started playing with the latex gloves.  They were quite entertained!  Katelyn also found Grandma's wheelchair to be quite entertaining as well...

GNO With The Girls Before The General Women's Broadcast-- It's Tradition!

3.25.2017

The girls chose IHOP for our traditional GNO dinner before the Women's Broadcast tonight.  It was actually pretty good.  I was pleasantly surprised.  We had fun together and enjoyed watching the Conference at Grandma's house.  The only thing that would've made it better would be to have had Grandma there!  (Hopefully she will come home next week from the Rebab Center.)  The girls ate all of her Cadbury eggs, so we're going to have to replace Grandma's stash!  It was a beautiful conference!  I especially loved President Eyring's talk but also enjoyed Sister Conrad's talk as well.

Messin' around on snap chat...

 Good friends!

 The obligatory selfies!
