This afternoon I had the opportunity to attend a missionary lesson at the Millers with Barbra's family that just arrived from Zimbabwe a couple weeks ago. She was baptized last summer and now her husband Tafadswa and her daughter Hope are hearing the lessons. The missionaries invited them to be baptized and he was excited about that but expressed concern about needing to learn more. We were able to explain to him that he doesn't have to know everything and that membership in God's Kingdom is a lifelong learning process! The Spirit was very strong and we were all (including Barbra) able to bear our testimonies of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to both of them. They are currently living with the Millers but I think will have their own place in a few weeks? Tafadswa is very intelligent but also very humble and listened so closely to what was being taught. He has an amazing perspective that what he is learning will not only change his life but all the generations to come after him. They are an amazing family!
Later on, Megan and Todd and the boys drove in from Vegas and we had dinner together. Luke got to open his birthday present from Nana and Papa and was so excited to play with it. We got him a sensory box with sand with a farm scene-- barn, tractor and even shovels! He was excited to be able to open it and play with it at home. The boys also enjoyed Papa's game of finding Mario and Luigi! They looked at the pictures of where they were hidden and then went outside to go find them. They LOVE this game and have had so much fun finding them when they come over!
