Here are pictures from the stroke of midnight... we celebrated, drank some Martinelli's and set off some fireworks... It was very quiet this morning! I got up around 8:30 to shower before I made our traditional crepe breakfast. Breakfast was ready by 9:30 and the Rose Parade was on! Megan and Todd got here around that time. We fixed a plate for mom and took it over to her. We enjoyed the day watching football and later went to the church to play pickle ball. The girls were all packed to go back up to school and left for Vegas at 4:30 from the church. It was so sad saying goodbye to them! I’m glad they can split up that awful 10 hour drive halfway at the Polley’s! We came home from the church and started to put away all the Christmas décor while we listened to the Ohio State v. Utah game. The Buckeyes pulled it off! We got everything taken down, but still need to put a lot away. I went over to Megan’s to borrow an onion for Sunday dinner and got to hold Luke for a bit. I already miss Brooke and Katelyn horribly! It was so fun to have them HOME for 2 weeks and to spend some time with them! My life is a string of hellos and goodbyes! I am so grateful for the good family that I have and that I DO miss them when they leave. That just means I love them a lot and that we have a good relationship! I do love each one of my kids and feel so lucky to have Megan, Todd and Luke so close by! That is a blessing!!!
