Yesterday was the first day of the Stake YW Volleyball
Tournament. We had 3 teams this year and
2 of them made it to todays’ tournament.
Katelyn’s team did awesome and didn’t lose any games. It’s always so fun to go and cheer on our
ward!
Today was day 2 of the tournament. (Pictures below) We won our first game which put us in the
championship bracket v. Sunrise Mountain ward AGAIN! (We played them last year in the championship
game and lost.) We won the first match
but then lost the 2nd two matches.
Because they’d lost a game and we hadn’t, we had to play another game,
where they just blew us away the 2nd 2 matches to win the
championship. They have a girl on their
team this year (Miranda Schnebeger), who plays club and her club team just got
back last week from winning Nationals!
AND they recruited another non-LDS girl who plays Club to come in and
play for the championship game tonight as well. So I’m feeling pretty good about how our
girls (none of whom even play high school volleyball) did! They put up a great fight and had some really
good rallies! It was fun to watch and so
nerve-wracking! We'll get 'em next year!!! :)
