It was a fun night. Random trick or treaters were posing in front of our werewolf and skeletons-- even sitting next to them taking pictures with their arm around them!! Hahahaha! We also had our annual cul-de-sac party and pot luck...except not very many people brought food! We ran out!! Oh well... It was fun though and a lot of people came and enjoyed visiting with us! This was the first year I had no one trick or treating and/or dressing up! IT WAS GREAT!!!!

Ministering Like Christ...
10.30.2018
Here's another very insightful forum post from Brooke! I love reading about what she is learning in the scriptures and in her religion classes at BYU this semester. She is taking 2 of them! I love her insights and the things she is pulling from the scriptures. I love how she explains the difference in Martha and Mary's needs! We all need ministering! And we all have different needs! Christ shows us and gives us the perfect compassion that each of us needs!!!
Cute Megan!
10.29.2018
Megan reported to me last week that she had not gotten into the nursing program at BYU so she is looking into other opportunities in Dental Hygiene so she can keep on track and still graduate in 2 years. BYU doesn't have a Dental Hygiene program so she is looking into one at Utah College of Dental Hygiene. She did some shadowing today and said that she really loved it! She looks cute in these scrubs! Love this girl! I know she will do great in whatever path she pursues!
Katelyn's District Swim Championships!!
10.27.2018
It has been a great weekend of swimming at GCC! It was the prelims yesterday, and Katelyn qualified for both of her individual events. She was seeded 2nd in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 Fly going into today. She swam the medley relay first (the first 2 pictures are of her lining up for that) and they got 3rd place. Then she swam the 200 IM and ended up with 3rd place! She got the podium and she is thrilled! That is a hard event and she was up against seasoned year round club swimmers! One of the pictures shows her talking to Coach Dilworth after her IM! Shea Pribyl and Jilly Fried were on the Medley Relay team, but I'm not sure the 4th girls' name... I need to find that out! (Jenna Brown)
Then she swam the 100 Fly and was up against some hard competition from our team-- Ellice Richman and Kayden Brendel. She ended up with 5th place overall in that event! I love the picture where Katelyn is cheering on Hannah Hinton in her 100 Free! I was going to delete the picture because I'd sent it to Hannah's mom, and then noticed Katelyn in the background cheering for her! That is so Katelyn! The boys and girls took 2nd each and the team took 2nd overall! The boys would've gotten 1st overall, but their 400 Relay got disqualified yesterday-- a major upset! I wonder if it would've been enough for an overall team win? I'll have to ask Coach. Liberty was super deep this year in their girls! It was a great day to be a Mustang!

ASU Grad Fair!
10.24.2018
Today McKenzie and I went down to ASU Main Campus to get all of her graduation things taken care of... we got her cap, gown, tassel, invitations, thank you notes etc., and a beautiful frame to put her diploma in when she gets it in December! It's getting close! McKenzie is soon to be all graduated and on to her next phase in life! We are getting super excited for her and can't wait for her special time... December 10th and 11th! It was fun to spend the afternoon together getting all of these things taken care of! We rode the shuttle from ASU West Campus and we had to walk a lot, but it was fun to be together and to take in the college atmosphere! McKenzie has worked HARD to accomplish this goal and will soon be ASU Alumni!
Academic Awards Assembly-- Katelyn ROCKED Her Freshman Year at SMHS!!
These award ceremonies never get old! I love to go to them! Katelyn received her academic letter and certificate for her Freshman year! She got perfect grades and we are so proud of her efforts. Here she is shaking hands with the new principal Mr. Setka. She and Hannah Hinton got their picture together after the ceremony... it was a nice morning!
