Megan's Bridal Shower!!!

Jamie was the mastermind behind this shower, but MANY women helped to pull this off!  Kristen Maskovich, Recia Squire and Camille Hart were also major players in the planning and behind-the scenes of this beautiful event!  And Camille was so gracious to host the shower at her home!  Many friends and people from the ward contributed food, as well!  It was so fun to see Kristen Dorsey and Lincoln Crump (Kristen brought her yummy Pasta and Shrimp Salad and Daniece sent a fruit platter with Lincoln) there as well, and we enjoyed a fun visit!  Allyson Andersen also came and brought a yummy dip and crackers.  Everyone was just so giving-- it made me feel so good!  It just didn't seem like "thank-you" was sufficient to tell everyone!  There were about 50 people there and Megan got some beautiful things to start off her married life and home!  In fact, I'm eyeing a crepe pan she got and some cute kitchen linens and aprons!  I told her they might go missing!  Hahaha!  It was so beautiful and Jamie just made it all come together with all her amazing little touches and details!  I love her so much!!! 

Teeth Whitening...

These girls crack me up!  I just wanted to get a picture with our whitening trays on, and these girls were being so funny about them!  They didn't want to touch the trays with their lips and they were drooling everywhere!  I finally got them to smile normally!  At least we'll have whiter teeth!

Last Chance Qualifier Meet @ Westview HS-- Katelyn...

Katelyn ran the 800 at this meet and PR'd!  She got a 2:27, but was just off the state qualifying time...darn!  I'm proud of Katelyn and her efforts!  She had a rough season full of injuries and shin splints!  Next year she's comin' back with a vengeance!  I love to watch her run!!!

Brooke's Birthday Dinner at Cheesecake Factory

We celebrated again tonight with a family dinner out!  Mason was with us this weekend, as Kristine's in California for an Ultrasound Seminar to help her get certified.  (They will both stay until Sunday when she gets back.)  It was a fun dinner and so fun to all be together!  We're just missing Megan and Todd!  The 2nd picture below is Brooke being silly trying to help Katelyn with her brand new contact lens that she had in for the first time-- we'd just gotten back from the eye doctor before we went to dinner!  Brooke is pretty silly!  After dinner, the waiters came and sang to Brooke and brought her some ice cream which she shared with Mason!  He loved the whipped cream, which Brooke hates, so it worked out well! 

Track District Championship Finals...

Both tonight and Tuesday night were absolutely gorgeous April nights!  Although tonight, we actually even froze a bit!  It was cold like Tuesday, but there was a constant breeze that just made us chilled the whole night.  We thought Katelyn was going to run the 1600, but didn't end up running that race.  So we stuck around even longer to watch her run the 800.  She just missed the podium with a 4th place, but I still think she did awesome!  It was super fun to watch her!  She scored a lot of points with her events for our team!  Good job Katelyn!!  After all the festivities, we RAN to the car and cranked the heat AND seat heaters.  (Alyssa came to watch Katelyn too!)  We were SO COLD!!

Brooke is an ADULT!! She's 18 TODAY!!!

Brooke woke up to the decorated car early at 5:45 this morning!  She was pretty surprised... although they did the same thing to Allie Hart's car just a week or 2 ago!  Super cute and super fun!  What a good group of friends!  Later tonight we celebrated her birthday with her favorite dinner (Saucy Chicken and Rice) and then she asked me to make her cupcakes-- she LOVEs those!  (Something about my frosting...)  It was the perfect birthday!  Alyssa Higbee was staying with us, and Kristine and Mason just happened to be dropping something by when we were about to sing to Brooke, so we invited them in, as well.  Then, I gave Brooke her birthday gift... just a simple little envelope but that simple little envelope contained tickets to the Maroon 5 Concert in June that we will go to together.  She was pretty excited!  It was a fun day for her!!!

Track District Championship Prelims... and a Birthday Surprise for Brooke!!

We enjoyed going to Katelyn's District Championship Prelims tonight!!  Katelyn's 4x800 Relay team placed 1st, and by a long shot! They were WAY ahead!  Then, Katelyn ran her first 3200 (2 mile!) AT DISTRICT!!!  She had never run this race before the entire season!  And she did awesome-- she came in 6th place AND got an awesome time of like 12:48-- which means a 6:24 mile!  Way to go Katelyn!  We love to watch you run!!!

 

 

THEN... we came home to this!  Anna Maskovich, Maggie Wright and Weston Buckhannon decorated Brooke's car the night before her birthday, so it would all be ready for her early morning trip to Seminary in the morning!  They are W.A.M-- Weston, Anna and Maggie!  I thought it was so cute that they did this.  I caught them while they were doing it, and they hurried and ducked, but then when they realized it was just me, they were ok.  I opened the car so they could put some snakes inside.  They have some kind of joke with snakes...

Young Women Volleyball Tournament...Championship Game!

The girls were divided into age divisions this year.  This is our Rose Valley team ages 15-18.  They did great tonight.  The game pictures below are of their exciting and LOUD game v. West Wing, which we WON, sending us to the championship game, which we lost v. Sunrise Mountain.  I think the game v. West Wing was a harder game, but they were also tired by the time they went against SM!  They played their hearts out, but it wasn't enough...  Seems like every year, our ward is in the championship game, either as the winners or the runners up.  The girls had so much fun playing, I don't think any of them were too disappointed that we lost, in the end.  It was a fun couple of nights watching my cute Brooke and Katelyn play!  They've got some skills, and Katelyn has a mean overhand serve that I don't know where it came from!  Fun!!  They also had amazing cheerleaders that made all the difference!  (Thomas Greer, Weston Buckhannon and Slater Price)

Reception Sign...

Alyssa Muller is making the sign for Megan and Todd's reception.  It will look like the picture below, but be in gold lettering with a black background framed.  It think it's going to be super cute!!  (Alyssa just sent this to me to approve it before she prints it on the vinyl.)
