Katelyn Gets Her Ears Pierced... and other things on a crazy Valentine's Day!!

We were in the Mall this afternoon and Katelyn said that she wanted to get her ears pierced as we passed the place that does it.  After we got past the initial scariness of it all, she finally agreed that that's what she wanted to do.  It was fun to pick out earrings for her after she got them pierced.

Later that night, Bill and I went to a Sweetheart Dinner at Mom's house, where we did the main dish of Shrimp Scampi (it turned out sooooo good).  Well when we got home, it was late, and we heard this little yelp  amongst everybody getting ready for bed.  Katelyn had cut her thumb on a pocket knife.  She was playing around with it (don't ask me why at 11:00 at night) and accidentally caught her thumb.  We went to the Emergency Room to have it sewn up and our heads didn't hit the pillow until 2am or so.  (I fell asleep several times during Ward Conference the next day at church!

Whoops!!)  What a day and possibly the most memorable Valentine's Day we've had in a long time!
