Katelyn's New Guy...

Katelyn sent these pictures of her and Logan Young... without ANY explanation but that she'd call and explain everything... this is the guy she's kinda been dating since being back up in Provo. They met as he finished his mission in Rome and she was on her study abroad. Soooo, hopefully we will have all the deets SOON!

Our Precious 10 Month Old!

Logan is 10 months old! He is such a happy and content little guy, but he is also a very curious and determined little guy! When he gets his eye on something, there's no stopping him! I love this about him as it reminds me so much of Megan's disposition and temperament as a baby!! We are so glad you are in our family, Logan!!

 

Luke's First Primary Talk & Other Sunday Adventures...

After our ward we went straight to Megan and Todd’s ward where Luke was giving his very FIRST talk in Primary! I was wondering if he’d get shy and not want to do it, but NO! Quite the opposite as he got up to the podium and confidently delivered his talk with the help of his dad! He had his talk in his hand and was very impatiently waiting to give it—he was so ready! It was so fun to be able to attend this wonderful milestone for him. I love that he was so willing and eager to give his talk! Luke was enjoying singing time and wanted so badly to be called to help! Cute kid! He came over later and helped Papa pick vegetables from the garden... we had a beautiful Sunday afternoon with family!

Christmas Card Collection...

Here's all the wonderful cards we got in the mail for Christmas this year. I love that people send me their news so I can keep in touch with good friends and family. It is also so fun to go to the mailbox and get something besides bills and junk mail!!!

Cute Luke!

Got this picture from Megan today in the family group text... here's what she said:

"So I was trying to put Logan down for a nap and come out to this. Luke got the milk out of the fridge with his chair, then took his chair to the pantry to unlock the baby lock on the top of the door. Then got the Cheerios and took it over to the table. Then got down bowls and spoons with the chair. I gotta give him some credit here!" Then she said Luke said, "Mama I was trying to get you and me cereal, this bowl is for you and this one is for me!"

So, there are several things I love about this picture!! 1. the expression on Luke's face-- too cute and it melts my heart every time I look at it. 2. the milk that barely doesn't go over the edge of the counter. 3. the soggy Cheerios box in the milk on said counter. 4. the Cheerios to milk ratio in each of the 2 bowls! This just makes me smile and I love that Megan got a picture of it and shared it with us today! I love this boy with all my heart. I love his kind heart and that he was getting his mom a snack to share together. Wow-- this just makes my heart so happy!  I have the CUTEST grandchildren in the whole world!!!!

Katelyn's Hot Date...

Katelyn met this guy when she was in Rome... He was just getting off his mission and was touring with his family. They exchanged numbers at that time and went out for a date tonight. His name is Logan Young. They walked around downtown Provo and got ice cream (looks like Sub Zero to me...). They ended up talking for 4 hours and she said, "...It felt super comfortable and normal unlike superficial first dates with Provo guys usually are." I guess we'll see what happens though... but Katelyn is super BAD at keeping us updated with her life!! So I may not hear anything for a while...

A Boy & His Fire Truck!

Megan texted me this morning and said that Luke was very excited to be reunited with his fire truck! Melt my heart!!! They're getting over the flu so I haven't been able to go over there and love on these boys and it's all I can do to keep myself from going over there!!! I can't wait 'til I can see them! I have really missed them while they've been gone...

A Hike and the Temple with Katelyn!!

Katelyn and I have had a fun time together these past few days since she's been the only one home during the day... we hiked Sunrise Mountain Preserve this morning and then went to the temple and did Initiatories in the afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day outside and a beautiful, peaceful day inside the temple!!

 

Ringing in 2025 & the Traditional Crepe Breakfast!

It was a quiet New Year but we rang it in with our traditional Martinelli's and when we woke up later on, with our traditional crepe breakfast... We had fun playing Rook (3 handed, and yes Bill won) and other games and watching movies. McKenzie put together a puzzle. Megan and Todd and their family and extended family all had a super bad case of the flu where they are up in Vegas... glad we were all healthy here, but felt bad for this little guy! I guess maybe he cuddled during all the football games???
