Temple with the FAM!

12.26.2024

We all went to the temple and did an endowment session this afternoon. I love that we all got to be there and enjoy it together. We sat quietly in the celestial room afterward for quite a long time before we left. We went to Cheddars for dinner afterward and had a nice time laughing and having fun! It has been so fun to have the girls home!!

Christmas Eve Games...

12.24.2024

It was a quiet Christmas with Allison and our 3 girls! It seemed so quiet without Megan and Todd and the boys!! We enjoyed a yummy ham dinner and all the food tasted so good! Brooke wanted everyone to open her gifts to everyone after dinner, so we did that. She’d gotten all of us matching sweat bottoms and they are so comfortable! She got Dad matching socks. Katelyn organized fun family Christmas games, so we played those and made a REALLY big mess everywhere, and then we stayed up and played games for the rest of the night. It was a lot of fun!!

Christmas Sunday!

12.22.2024

We enjoyed such a beautiful Sabbath Christmas Sacrament Meeting today! McKenzie and I sang in the choir and she also sang a solo in German for the first verse of Silent Night. She did such a fantastic job and got so many compliments afterward! She was so brave and she VOLUNTEERED to sing that! She wasn't asked to!! I couldn't believe it-- pretty out of character for her, but she did a great job! It was a beautiful program with many solos and musical talents shared! Tonight just Allison is coming for dinner as Megan and Todd and the boys are in Vegas for the holidays. It's gonna be kinda quiet around here for the next couple of weeks! BUT... Brookie comes HOME TOMORROW... I'm so excited to have her here for 6 days!!!

The Caten Reception

12.20.2024

It was a lot of fun seeing everyone tonight at Bradley and Brielle's wedding dinner and reception! Bill got to visit with all of his cousins and Rosanne and I got to spend quite a bit of time catching up! It was so good to see her again! DeAnn (my roommate in college from right before I got married) also came and it was so good to see her again too! (She was one of Rosanne's companions on her mission.) I didn't recognize her at first!! Aunt Darlene's health was not good and was expected to pass away at any time while Brian and Rosanne were away for the wedding. She ended up dying early the next morning at 4am. She sure was ready to go but it was nice that she was able to make it to the next day after the wedding! It's always hard to lose loved ones and parents, but so nice to know that relief from their earthly and physical problems finally comes and the reunions that happen on the other side that I'm sure must be so joyful!
