Celebrating Mommy & Baby Polley!

It was such a fun shower! And it was SO FUN to have Brooke and Katelyn HOME for a quick weekend... it went way too fast! We all had so much fun celebrating and anticipating baby Polley and his arrival into this world and into our crazy family! We had so many people come to the shower and they were all so generous in showering this cute little guy with so much love! I felt so grateful for so many good friends that came and many family members who traveled so far to support Megan! It was nice to get to know the Polley's better (Susan helped a lot before the shower getting food ready and served and during the shower helping to organize the gifts as Megan opened them). Robin is also always so good to attend our family events and milestones... she has always made that a priority! It feels good to have that support. Allison also helped out so much in setting up and baking SO MANY cookies! My cute friend Jamie helped cut up all the fruit and I borrowed all these cute decorations from Allyson Andersen-- which was TONS of help and I didn't have to think of how to make it cute! The whole day ended up being a party... we had a swim party with Polleys and also Tom and Kaylene came over with their 3 little kids. We enjoyed pizza (and leftover food from the shower) and the BYU v. South Florida football game-- with of course another BYU WIN!!! Yay!!! Robin watched Conner for the afternoon/evening because Shelby had to work a party on this side of town... he fell asleep during the whole game on Summer's dog bed! Too funny! It was a really fun day and weekend!

 

Drilling Our Well!!!

This has been happening all week! It took them longer, because the soil was caving in, but they said the water came spurting out so we will have great water pressure!! The only down side is because the ground was caving in, they had to use steel instead of PVC for the pipes-- which costs a lot more... don't even want to disclose here how much more... just A LOT more! This home building stuff is NOT for whimps!

Fun Times @ the BYU v. ASU game...

Another "W" tonight for the Cougs! Wooohoooooo!!! Rise and Shout! Hahahaha! Soooo, Katelyn got asked out for half time by the guy next to her. They got a soda and a pretzel at concessions! Leave it to Katelyn to be asked out on a date at a football game for half time! She calls him fry guy because he stuffed those foam "clappers"-- not sure what to call them, in his shirt and Katelyn said he looked like a package of french fries... she's not sure he appreciated that or not! Hahaha! Funny story anyway!

Katelyn Having Fun at a Stake Activity...

Katelyn told me about this activity... they released a bunch of balloons into the air for a Stake Activity, but I'm not sure exactly when it all happened. I thought it was a cute picture and wanted to include it here! She is having the time of her life and making so many new friends!

SMHS v. Liberty Football Game

Everything started off great and we were 13-0 for the first half... then Liberty figured out it's defense for the 2nd half. SMHS continued to put up a good fight though and the game went into TRIPLE overtime! Liberty ended up winning it... it was a great game but not the outcome we wanted! Pretty good game considering Liberty is in a much bigger division than we are! Go Mustangs!!! It was fun to all be together watching the game tonight, even if it didn't turn out how we wanted...

Equipment to Start Drilling for the Pump Showed Up TODAY!!!!!!!

I am so excited to FINALLY say that Western Drilling Co. showed up to start our well today!!! I'm not sure how long the project will take but we are one step closer to ground-breaking on our new home! I'm hoping to hear from our builder soon about when the build can begin... he thought it could be as early as September, but has been pretty consistent that it will most likely begin in October. October isn't that far away, so we are almost there! Here are my drive-by shots!

 

Elder Rasmussen's Birthday...

Happy Birthday today to Elder Nash Rasmussen! When we were up in Utah, Beckie gave me a package to take to the Arizona Tempe Mission office. I told her I would do that AND make him a cake for the special day! I delivered the goodies this morning!

BYU Blue Foam and a WIN V. Utah!!!

The traditional BYU Blue foam was a winner yet again last night! Katelyn volunteered at the event to be able to slide through it as many times as she wanted! Good idea! Looks like she had a blast! Katelyn is definitely enjoying her time so far at school!

Rain or shine it's ALWAYS a good day to BEAT the University of Utah!!! Katelyn's very first home game in her BYU career was against Utah and they won ending a losing streak of 12 years-- I believe! It was a great game and so fun to watch... we looked for you Katelyn, but in a sea of blue shirts it was really hard to try to pick you out! It looked like you and Brooke had so much FUN storming the field when the game was over! I even saw Cosmo crowd-surfing! So MUCH FUN tonight!!!

I saw this on Facebook today and laughed... yes! This is how I plan on being a grandma! Heehee!

Katelyn's Adventures at the Salt Flats and Hiking the "Y"!

Katelyn enjoyed some Saturday fun with some friends she had just met! One group went to the Salt Flats to take pictures and another group hiked the "Y" after our awesome win against University of Arizona! She's making a lot of new friends and having so much fun!!
