Trek Tribe Leader Orientation
1.28.2018
Tonight we learned all about Trek and what it will take to prepare ourselves and for our family that we will be in charge of for 4 days this summer! We learned about everything from how to dress to look like Nephites, to what to pack on our handcart. We are super excited for this opportunity!! It will be so amazing to read the entire Book of Mormon prior to Trek which is the end of May. I think this will be the most important thing we do to prepare! We were set apart for this amazing experience by President Pace tonight. Let the planning and preparing BEGIN!!
Mason's Surgury Day...
1.26.2018
Here's cute Mason while we were waiting for surgery! He had a tonsillectomy and an adenoidectomy! What a brave little boy! We love you Mason!!!
Megan and Todd
1.25.2018
Here are some cute pictures of Megan and Todd. I like the 3rd picture where they're looking at each other! We were able to Skype with them this week and it was so fun to get to know him! We all really like him a lot! We can see why Megan is so smitten with him. Things are moving along in their relationship... and Megan is so happy!
Katelyn Our Basketball Star!
1.24.2018
Here's Katelyn's basketball picture... we sure have enjoyed watching our girl play! It has been a great season!
Introducing Todd Polley...
1.22.2018
Here are some pictures Megan has sent me from the past few weeks of Winter Semester. She met Todd about a month ago right before finals. He is in her ward. Things are moving along VERY quickly in their relationship. We have yet to meet him, but all the information Megan gives us sounds pretty good! We are hoping to be able to meet him soon, as they are already talking about a marriage date in May sometime!!!! (Mom is still unsure of how she feels about all of this!)
Young Men Iditarod
1.20.2018
Bill drove up to Flagstaff early this morning to spend the day with the YM from our ward at the Iditarod. It snowed all day causing Bill to head home before the awards so as to not get stuck in the snow with his little car. It looks like it was a really fun day! (Burr!!!) Thomas and Josh Greer drove up with him...
Parent Night at Katelyn's Basketball Game v. Greenway
1.19.2018
It was a SUPER tough game tonight v. Greenway-- they were really good and we lost 44-52... We caught up significantly in the 4th quarter but it wasn't enough, early enough. Katelyn played her heart out though and had shots, rebounds and assists, and was ALL OVER THE COURT and hustled to get the ball and be everywhere! She had the game of her life! Even though the team lost, I can't help but be so proud of her! She is so much fun to watch on the court, and an amazing person off the court! I love her to pieces! The girls recognized all their parents tonight with a slide show with girls holding signs saying how much they love their parent's and their support. I wasn't quick enough with my camera to take a picture of Katelyn's slide, as she was the first one, and we were still taking pictures. It was a fun night and I love you too, Katelyn!!!!!
Stake Theme for 2018
1.16.2018
Here's the Stake Theme for 2018. We've been asked to memorize the top portion (which is the actual theme), and do the invitation below for the month of January. Erin Trimble makes these cute cards each month to help everyone remember.
Brooke's Prom Response...
1.13.2018
Brooke had a cute idea to respond to Calvin for prom. She put a bunch of helium balloons under a box and drew pig faces on them and then put a sign that she'd go to prom with him when "pigs fly". Well when you lift up the box, the "pigs"- "fly"! I thought it was such a cute idea and it was pretty simple to do.
Paisley's Comb Over!
1.08.2018
Brooke and I gave Paisley a bath tonight and blow dried her fur because she was shaking and freezing. Her "part" naturally fell into a comb over and we laughed and joked that it looked like Megan's comb over in Jr. High! We even texted this picture to her, but she didn't think it was funny at all! We thought at the very least, it looked like Trump's comb over! Hahahaha! It IS agreed upon by all that she is extremely cute!!!!
Polar Plunge... and a Prom date!
1.06.2018
Katelyn woke up wanting to do the Polar Plunge this morning. Brooke went, but didn't go in. It was super cold, but warmer than most other years, they said. The water was 52 degrees and it was 50 outside! Still pretty chilly! Katelyn was the last one to jump in of her big huge group! She was also determined not to get her hair wet, and she didn't! That probably kept her warmer! Pictured with her is Julia Richman and Alyssa Scanlon. Calvin Maughan asked Brooke to Prom with a cute poster, cake and volcano. It came with vinegar that you poured down the volcano and it spouted up moving the ball with Calvin's name on it. It was cute!
IFly Indoor Skydiving-- the BEST!!
1.04.2018
Tonight at 10pm we went to IFly Indoor Skydiving and experienced what it would feel like to free fall out of a plane. I loved it because it didn't worry or give me anxiety at all! Megan, on the other hand was super nervous about it! All the way over in the car she talked about how she wasn't too sure about it. We were given instructions and then put on our suits and went in the wind tunnel one at a time with an instructor. It was super fun and everybody ended up having a blast! It was a super fun family activity and the girls are really enjoyed it!
